I crashed the Ringmaster the first time I tried to fly inverted. The only damage, however, was to the canopy, the propeller, and the tail section. While I could do many stunts, my favorite was the wing-over. That's when you go virtical over your head, then pull out on the other side. Boxes were also fun.
In September of 1977, it was off to College. I went to California State Polytechnic University Pomona. My first three years were a blur. I took some classes that I had little idea of why I needed them to become an EE Engineer , but in my fourth year everything came together.
Also in the fourth year (1981) Cal Poly Pomona started a transformation. The engineering department started offering computer classes, and change their focus from Electrical Electronics Engineering, to Electronics, and Computer Engineering.
I got lucky, and was able to take enough of the computer engineering classes to (unofficially) graduate with an Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering Degree. My Diploma reads Electrical, Electronics, Engineer, but I had the computer engineering stuff as well.
On 28 March 1996 I completed training for and have been Certified as a Novell Engineer. My CNE is for Netware 4.1
